Murchisson-Falls National Park
The country’s largest National park is named after the mighty Murchisson Falls where the Nile squeezes through a narrow cleft into a pool 43 m below. The lush grassland in the north is home of elephant, giraffe, buffalo, lion and antelopes, while in the south-eastern rainforests chimps and other forest population can be found. The Nile itself hosts hippos, crocodiles and a large variety of waterbirds.
